Digital Photography - an Introductory Class
Learn to make your camera do what you want - or at least start to understand why it doesn't.
Intended for new camera owners - or anyone who wants to start using their camera properly - this class will teach you the basics in a single hands-on session.
Of course you need a camera, but it doesn't have to be a mirrorless system or digital SLR. High-end compacts are perfectly suitable too. And the class isn't just for owners of new gear - we'll not turn you away even if you've had the camera in a cupboard for years.
The class is taught one-to-one in our studio in West Lothian, with an ample supply of tea and coffee at hand.
We'll Cover at Least:
- Exposure - sensitivity (ISO) / aperture / shutter speed (and why the world is grey)
- Controlling sharpness - the effects of shutter speed and aperture
- Focal lengths and their impact on your images.
- White balance (or why the colours are off)
- JPEG vs raw files.
- Automatic modes vs. manual
- Composition
... and wherever your questions take us.
Prices include VAT. Full payment required at time of booking.
