Your studio fees (£85 (£90 for 2027)) are payable at the time of booking to confirm your booking. The model fees should be paid to the directly to the model on or near the day (we will try to supply bank details in advance).

We may advise of alternative methods for non-UK models.

Model fees must not be paid to the studio account.

Bookings are not considered confirmed until payment has been received. We only make one follow-up request for payment before cancelling the reservation.

If you cancel at extremely short notice (less than four weeks) then you are due to pay the model (and studio fees) unless we can re-book the session.

In the event that we or the model have to cancel then we will either refund in full or carry your studio fees forward to another event.

Refunds of any amount are discretionary.

A minimum of 25% of the booking will normally be deducted from all cancelled bookings – the outstanding balance will be credited towards a future session.

You are liable for breakages and damage to the studio contents and equipment. However, we are always on-hand to assist, so it is always safer to ask for some assistance than risk breaking something (we expect you to make minor setup changes without assistance).

We expect some light wear and tear in paper backgrounds as part of a session and will only charge if the damage to the paper results in the paper being unusable.

We will do our best to try to ensure that your time in the studio is productive. That includes explaining how things function and where things are. Because the equipment is fragile and expensive, we’re always on hand to help move things around (if you break it then you are liable for repair or replacement costs).

Our promise of assistance doesn’t extend to teaching you – it’s about helping move things around to where you want them. If you need tuition then we are happy to offer that for an additional fee. However, we are not mean with our time and we will answer pleas for help and questions when asked.

Shared sessions are by exception, and only with prior agreement. If you do want to share a session with another photographer then we generally require that you book a double session. Don’t surprise us and turn up at the door with a buddy – you will be disappointed.

There are no session themes. Everyone has an opportunity to shoot what they want – there might be some repetition between sesssions, but there is no stock setup that everyone uses.

If you need the model to bring specific wardrobe items and accessories then you need to make that arrangement with the model yourself (we can supply contact details if needed, but most can be contacted via the portfolio links on their specific event page). If you do need to contact the model, please don't leave it too late - some models may be traveling on a tour so try to make sure any requests are communicated about a month before the booking.

Please don’t arrive more than five minutes before your booked start-time. If you are early, we may not be available to entertain you. The gaps in the schedule are intended to give the model a short break, please respect that.

Please be prepared to leave promptly at the end of your session too.

We make every endeavour to ensure that the premises and equipment are safe.

We ask that you take the same care – don’t create trip hazards, etc. and if anything appears unsafe, please tell us immediately.

We cannot accept any liability for any accidents caused by your stupidity when we are not supervising a session (you are liable for replacement/repair costs to the studio and equipment, never mind any injury caused to anyone else).

Obviously, if you are feeling unwell or presenting any COVID-19 symptoms we request that you cancel your booking at the earliest possible opportunity. If you are supposed to be isolating because of a potential infectious contact, we expect you to cancel.
