Male Nude Photography - a Studio Workshop
An afternoon workshop shooting artistic male nudes in a professional studio environment, with two experienced tutors and model.
Male nude photography is underrepresented in most studio teaching. Most workshops focus exclusively on female subjects, which means photographers who want to work with the male form - for artistic, editorial or personal projects - often have very little structured guidance to draw on. This workshop addresses that directly.
Working with two experienced tutors and an experienced male model, you will spend an afternoon exploring light, composition and direction specific to the male nude. The session assumes some studio experience and covers the techniques and approaches that translate most effectively to this subject.
A note on dates: suitable male models are rarer than female models, which means this workshop runs less frequently than others. - Lighting approaches suited to the male form
- Direction and communication with a male model
- Compositional approaches to the figure in a studio context
- Building a coherent set of images across the session
